I'm Kate.

Hey friends, I'm Kate. I love kettle cooked chips, steaks cooked medium rare and pie!
I didn’t originally set out to become a wedding officiant — I spent fifteen years as a wedding planner, helping couples bring their day to life behind the scenes. In 2018, I decided to get ordained simply as a safety net for my clients. My thought was: if the unexpected ever happened and their officiant couldn’t perform the ceremony, I could step in and make sure they were legally married no matter what. Thankfully, I never had to use it… but it changed my path.

In 2020, when weddings suddenly looked very different, a photographer friend and I began offering micro-weddings from her studio. I coordinated the day and performed the ceremonies while she captured the moments — and I quickly realized how much I loved being at the center of the story, not just organizing it.

When she relocated in 2023 and I completed my final planning season in 2024, it felt like the natural next step to focus fully on officiating.

My ceremonies are never stiff or scripted for the sake of tradition. I believe the moments people remember most are the ones that feel genuine — heartfelt, personal, and sometimes even a little funny. I create customized ceremonies that reflect who you truly are as a couple, whether that includes faith elements, modern touches, something completely untraditional, or even a full costume theme wedding.

All couples are welcome here. Love is love, and your ceremony should feel comfortable, meaningful, and unmistakably yours.
